Premium Marble Statues, Hand-Carved in India
A premium marble statue is defined by three things: the quality of the stone, the skill of the carver, and the finish that survives decades of daily worship. At Murtiya every statue is carved from a single block of Makrana or Vietnam white marble in our own workshop, never cast in resin or finished with painted plaster.
Single-block Makrana and Vietnam white marble — no joints in the idol
Hand-carved facial features, jewellery and drapery by temple artisans
Any size from 6 inches for a home mandir to 6 feet and above for temples
Mirror-polished, matte or antique finishes on request
What separates a premium marble statue from a decorative one is permanence. A carved marble murti keeps its detail, its colour and its presence for generations, which is exactly why temples and families choose stone over temporary materials.
Choosing the marble
Makrana white marble is the traditional choice for Hindu deities. It is dense, nearly translucent when polished, and holds the finest carving detail — the same stone used for the Taj Mahal. Vietnam white marble is a close, brighter alternative that carves cleanly and reads very white in photographs and on an altar.
Choosing the finish
A mirror polish reads as bright and contemporary. A matte or antique finish looks warmer and shows fine carving lines more clearly. Many customers choose a polished body with a warmer finish on the ornaments so the jewellery separates from the drapery.
Making it personal
Most premium orders are customisation-led: a specific height to suit an existing mandir, a particular mudra, a family deity that is difficult to find readymade, or a pose matched to a reference photograph. Send us the reference and the dimensions and we will confirm feasibility, timeline and price before carving begins.
